Become a leader

Leaders are committed to being involved with kids' lives and demonstrating the love of Christ. From cheering them on at their sporting events to listening to them talk about what's exciting to them, our leaders help kids consider the direction of their lives, and they offer hope for their future.

Young Life leaders meet kids where they are, as they are. They listen to their stories and learn what's important to them because they genuinely care about their joys, triumphs, heartaches, and setbacks.

Does it matter?

Because kids don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care, Young Life leaders show they care by going where kids are, meeting them as they are, and believing in who they can be. Within Young Life we call the persistent going out into the world of kids "contact work," but kids just call it friendship.
